KLX Inc Strategic Sourcing Manager in Miami (HQ), Florida

OBJECTIVE:

The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for leading projects and adequately aligning team resources to meet assigned timelines. Ensures team adherence to departmental process and procedures. Serves as first point of contact when addressing team member concerns. Responsible for cross functional alignment, to meet KLX key results. Develops KPI and leads all process improvement initiatives. Communicates team performance and escalates potential issues to leadership team.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists team members with critical pricing and validity term negotiations to achieve optimum results for the company.

  • Monitors team activities obtaining and negotiating cost data for in excess of 500 projects per year ranging in value from 50K to 500M.

  • Develop organizational capabilities through the identification of process inefficiencies and continuous improvement efforts

  • Develop and execute on strategic supplier negotiations

  • Supports team in communication of supply base cost competitiveness metrics

  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field of study or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience

  • 4-6 years of related work experience

  • Advanced negotiation skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and Microsoft Office experience

  • Effective verbal & written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple and competing priorities

  • Demonstrated ability to work with large amounts of computer data

  • Effective team leader

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field of study or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience

  • 6-8 years of related work experience

  • Advanced commodity / product knowledge

  • Experience with cost modeling / Cost driver structure

  • General knowledge of Aerospace compliance and regulations

  • Advanced knowledge of Aerospace Industry supply base
