Job Summary

Direct all aspects of financial reporting requirements in accordance with established policies, practices, and procedures. Supports financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data. Perform various duties involved with month end reconciliations for all general ledger balance sheet accounts and resolving any discrepancies. Prepare divisional financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principals.

Essential Functions

Prepares monthly statements by collecting data; analyzing and investigating variances; summarizing data, information and trends.

Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing and interpreting data.

Provides financial advice by studying operational issues; applying financial principles and practices; developing recommendations.

Prepares special reports by studying variances; preparing budgets; developing forecasts.

Updates job knowledge by keeping current with financial regulations and accepted practices; participating in professional organizations.

Assist in controlling month end cut off related to inventory and sales to insure proper income statement presentation.

Compile annual budgets by Division in advance of the fiscal year.

Record standard monthly entries for reoccurring transactions and assist in recording monthly activity to close the month-end registers and general ledger.

Process month end reports and distribute to appropriate personnel.

Prepare all quarterly or year-end audit requirements for presentation to the Corporate accounting team for book or tax purposes.

Review bank certificate on daily basis. Reconcile to the books on a monthly basis.

Assist in reporting to Corporate or financial institutions.

Maintain fixed asset system.

Maintain Tribute product codes for new accounts re: chart of accounts and territory assignments

Analyze and compute monthly commissions for all outside salespersons. Process manual adjustments.

Support The Hope Group BMS by following established processes and supporting their continual improvement.

Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or directed.

Knowledge & Skills: Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 3 – 5 years of public accounting experience.


Substantiating Data




Broad knowledge of a discipline such as chemical, electrical, electronic, civil or mechanical engineering, behavioral science, finance or business administration involving the use of a broad theoretical knowledge equivalent to a complete 4-year college or university education.


Over 7 years up to and including 10 years.
